Many organizations taking up the issues related to Corruption, Inequality, unfairness at work is now regularly in the outlook of HR agenda. As per Charles Handy view, the organizations must see their roles which contributes society for the long - term rather simply increasing the market focus or increasing shareholder dividends for the short - term.In some cases management teams are encourage to take their corporate responsibilities seriously, in some cases managers and executives are rewarded for their involvement and how they demonstrate the organizational strategy, corporate culture, ethics, community involvement etc. In other cases, it requires employers to take their responsibilities to employees seriously. For the positive effect of implementing modern work conditions, it is necessary to prevent bullying in the workplace which can build greater protection for employees against the negative impressions.


Now in the formulation in changing patterns of workplace transformation the individuals are searching for new techniques and ethics and has freedom in exploring their own capacity and ability to change the organisational working culture and entrepreneurism. The information age need to adapt to where and how employees could work when the transformation takes place.

Although many reasons contribute for the changing patterns but there are few key factors which are responsible for this phase:

(a) Increase in continuous pressure on the organization to be more competitive, prompt, promising and qualitative in respect of customer satisfaction.

(b) New technology evaluations where information technology plays the vital role in the part of communication, understanding to evaluate and apply the procedures.

(c) Globalization, where the business stands globally to get lead into the competitive world by carrying out various successful measures towards increasing involvement by various industries.

In relation to above factors there are few inter - related factors which are responsible for the work place transformation:


The Need for Real Leadership

Leadership plays an active role in the culture change of the organization. The need of good leadership takes place not only to provide appropriate climate for high performance but also because of the apparent effect on employee morale of inappropriate leadership behavior. Leadership when emphasize organisational values, individual commitment to the organization increases.Good leader approach as representative to show path the resources towards their aims and goals and urge to perform individually. The disconnection between management expression and practice appear to be the strong reason for people wishing to leave.

Organizational Politics

Another factor of organisational life appear to be increasingly political environment with which many employees having to contend. Inequality in responsibilities and continuous comparison of skills is mostly seen at the workplace. Hierarchy formulates to allocate the work force and responsibilities according to the requirements to fulfill the given tasks. But thought of giving responsibilities only to the key persons or sharing goals with leaders impact badly in not showing enough trust on others. Although getting job done is a prime aim of the organization but not having enough coordination, not having clear idea about the goals can effect the loyalty and due to which reporting lines becomes less clear. Politics take place when offering opportunities effects due to inequality whether it could be in the form of hierarchy, skills, talent or personal issues. This negative feature can also adversely affect on job satisfaction.

Flexible Working Hours

The changing working hours can effect in both the ways; the workings hours could be adjustable according to the convenience of the employees on the other hand working hours where employees give their more than standard time even if work is done timely and the targets are met. More firms offer flexible working times but then slowly they focus on results than time being measures of performance. Now a days due to globalization of business, organization make employees mandatory to work into flexible shifts and if not followed ultimately results directly affect the performance and pay scales. Flexible working hours would be the willingness and does not become a reason being affecting job satisfaction.

Virtual Work

This is one more reason behind the transformation in the organization. Virtual work consist of working from home, working on client locations are the options available and provided by organizations.People feels comfortable in working on laptops and smart and have access with technologies which can be socially connected.
Changing the workplace can be relatively easy. Changing the mind-set needed to work efficiently and realize the benefits and positive responses of workplace changes is challenging.
